BOX BROWNIE Photo & Negative Scanning

Many family photo collections begin with the Box Brownie era, when simple cameras captured everyday life across the early 1900s.

At Original Photos, we carefully scan these historic photographs and negatives so they can be preserved digitally for future generations.

Old Brownie prints, contact prints, and early negatives are handled with care and scanned at high resolution to capture every detail from the original photograph.

Once digitised, these images can be:

• restored
• enlarged
• printed again
• shared with family
• preserved safely in digital form

Many of these photographs exist as the only surviving copy, making careful scanning an important step in protecting family history.

Typical Brownie items we scan

• Box Brownie prints
• Early black-and-white photographs
• Vintage negatives
• Old family albums
• Loose historical photographs

Why digitise early photographs?

Time slowly affects photographic paper and film.
Scanning these images now preserves them before fading, cracking, or deterioration occurs.
